HARIHARAN SUBRAHMANIAN

Born in Pallasena, Palakkad in 1964. 
Currently resides in Palakkad.

About

Started as a painter. Stated photography in 1989 which became his mainstay and he left painting in 1990.

Collections and Archives    Photographs have been published in international and national journals including Fine Eye, Paris and MonoPix, Budapest. Works have been exhibited at the City Centre, Abu Dhabi and at the Industry and Film Museum, Wolfen, Germany. Collections : Industry and Film Museum, Wolfen, Germany, Kerala Lalitha Kala Akademi, INTACH - Palakkad Chapter, Public Library - Palakkad and in private collections in India and the USA.

Exhibitions    Participated in the State exhibitions of Art organised by the Kerala Lalitha Kala Akademi from 1982 to 1985 and in 1989.

Projects    Projects include the execution of portraits for the MAGORA MGR Rural Museum and Heritage Centre for INTACH in Vadavannur. The Museum was tragically destroyed in the flood of 2018.

Camps    2018 Photographers' Camp (Manju), organised by the Kerala Lalitha Kala Akademi in Wayanad . 2019 Kalakar  Commune in Trichur.  Jury Member: 2019 Kerala Lalitha Kala Akademi award for Photography.  

Awards    Awarded twice by the Black and White Universe, London, for his excellence in Monochrome photography and in All India Photography Salons recognized by the Federation of Indian Photography.
